Wow, I think that you're going to have a very interesting I-Search project. I've wondered myself how other cultures view beauty. I like the idea of the effect America has, but I do think that's can be a little broad (considering all the cultures in the world). Perhaps you could pick a specific culture? It's amazing how girls (and boys) will go out of their way to become the ideal beauty. That's something that all cultures seem to have in common.
